Rogue Yellow Snow IPA

Here is what the Brewer Says:
Tasting Notes: Pale golden in color with a hoppy fruity aroma. Big hop flavor up front complemented by medium body and hoppyness mid-pallet. Finishes with a characteristic lingering bitterness.
8 Ingredients: Cara Foam, Melanoiden & Rogue Micro Barley Farm Dare & Risk Malts; Amarillo & Rogue Micro Hopyard Revolution Hops, Free Range Coastal Water & Pacman Yeast.

Specs: 15º PLATO  70 IBU  76 AA  14º Lovibond

My Thoughts:  The color of this beer was a dark amber that was very hazy.   Head retention was very good, it remained foamy throughout the drink! The smell was excellent.  Notes of  sweet malt, and tons of  hops make you really want to take a sip of this.   I was a fan of this IPA.  I liked the hints of lemon and citrus and the hop bitterness that lingered at the end of this brew.  I found the body to be medium with medium carbonation.  If there was one drawback to this someone might say this beer is too simple.  It really is just hops from start to finish.  As a hophead I didn't mind that at all.  For a non-hophead this beer might not be your thing.  A side note...Rouge's website says 8 ingredients, but the bottle claims 7.   Not sure which to believe!

My Rating: Overall 84.5/100
