Bell's Octoberfest

Here is what the Brewer Says:
Crafted as a flavorful session beer, Bell's Octoberfest Beer is perfect for a week-long wedding celebration in Germany or the start of the Michigan autumn. As with Bell's Lager Beer, Octoberfest spends a full six weeks maturing in the fermentation vessels. Unlike its cousin, Octoberfest trades in the assertive hop presence for a focus on a light caramel malt note, lending body without too much sweetness.
Alcohol by Volume:  5.5%  Original Gravity:  1.056  Shelf Life:  6 months
My Thoughts: This Octoberfest is a really simple and tasty beer.   The color was orange a little hazy with a little head out of the bottle.  The smell was slightly herbal and bready.   The beer was light in malt flavor with a hint of caramel.  Yeast and Bread were two flavors that came to mind while drinking this brew from start to finish.   It didn't have as much body as I expected and it was a little high in the carbonation.  Overall it was a very easy brew to drink casually, not something you are going to watch to hammer down quickly. I would have few of these but I don't see myself buying a 6pack.

Serving Type: 12oz bottle

My Rating: Overall 73.5/100
