Fat Head's Christmas Ale

Here is what the Brewer says
I'll let you read the side of the bottle!
7.4% ABV

My Thoughts:  The beer poured a mostly clear orange/amber color with very little head.  The smell was mostly nutmeg, honey, and some cinnamon.  The taste was very smooth from start to finish.  The initial flavor of honey and nutmeg are very pleasing to the palate.  It is quickly followed up by some cinnamon, ginger and some malt backbone.  The finish does have a slight hop presence to it along with a nice residual cinnamon and nutmeg flavor.   As many spices as I just named, they don't really come out and dominate the flavor as some other spiced ales do.  The body is medium and the carbonation is also average.  I felt the drinkability was pretty high.  The beer goes down smooth and it has a really great after taste which invites you back for more.

Serving Type: 12oz bottle

My Rating: Overall 88.5/100
look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | drink: 4.5
